Founder Story

The Untold Story of Wholesometarian: From Idea to Impact

Some of life’s biggest transformations start with a simple realization. For me, it was understanding that wellness isn’t about following trends—it’s about making the most wholesome choices possible within my environment.

I wasn’t always focused on food. I ate what was available, without much thought about whether it was processed or wholesome. But when I started paying attention, I realized how small, intentional food choices could have a big impact.

This realization led to Wholesometarian, a lifestyle rooted in eliminating as much processed food as possible and focusing on real, nutrient-dense foods.

While hydration, movement, and rest play a role, prioritizing wholesome food choices has been the key to my personal health and well-being.

My Transformation: Before & After

Instead of just talking about it, here’s a visual representation of how Wholesometarianism transformed my life:

Before, I didn’t think much about what I ate. Now, I embrace Wholesometarianism—nourishing my body with whole, real foods

Wholesometarian: A Commitment to Wholesome Choices

The name Wholesometarian reflects my desire to make the best possible choices within my environment. My journey wasn’t about perfection but about cutting back on processed foods as much as possible and choosing whole, real ingredients whenever I could.

One of my earliest influences was my best friend, who had always embraced a holistic, natural lifestyle. She shaped my perspective on healthy, whole products, reinforcing my belief in real food over artificial alternatives.

As I deepened my understanding, I also started learning from experts whose insights helped shape Wholesometarian’s foundation:

Dr. Mindy Pelz

Jessie Inchauspé (The Glucose Goddess)

Jessie Inchauspé (The Glucose Goddess)

Through reading her book and watching Dr. Mindy’s YouTube channel, I learned about the power of fasting, gut health, and hormone balance, and how these practices can give our bodies time to heal and reset. Her teachings on autophagy—the body’s natural process of cleaning out damaged cells—showed me how important meal timing and rest are, not just for weight balance but for true long-term wellness. Dr. Mindy’s approachable explanations helped me see that fasting isn’t about deprivation—it’s about giving the body space to restore. These concepts deeply shape Wholesometarian’s focus on intentional nourishment and cellular health.

Watching Jessie’s YouTube videos made understanding blood sugar balance so simple and practical. She showed me how small habits—like eating fiber before carbs, adding protein to meals, and taking a walk after eating—can help prevent energy crashes and reduce cravings. These strategies have become part of my daily routine and are essential tools we share in the Wholesometarian community to support steady energy, clear thinking, and a healthier metabolism. Jessie’s work made it clear that stable blood sugar is a vital part of feeling good every day and protecting long-term health.

Wholesometarian in Action

For me, the biggest transformation came from eliminating as much processed food as possible and prioritizing wholesome, natural foods.

Key Changes I Made:

✔ Switched to whole, unprocessed foods, avoiding artificial ingredients.

✔ Stopped using microwaves, choosing traditional cooking methods to preserve nutrients.

✔ Prioritized grass-fed beef and a high-protein diet for sustained energy and muscle function.

✔ Started taking a pinch of Celtic Sea Salt before drinking water to improve hydration and mineral balance.

✔Incorporated fasting to activate autophagy, allowing my body to detox and regenerate naturally.

While nutrition has been my foundation, I also made small lifestyle adjustments that support my overall well-being:

Sunlight exposure

Limiting nighttime screens

Connecting with nature to reduce stress and improve circulation.

Each of these shifts has contributed to my health, energy, and overall well-being—but food has always been my priority.
